We are now hiring friendly, highly-qualified asbestos analysts nationwide:

New satellite laboratory locations in many larger cities throughout the US.
-
Existing satellite laboratory locations.

Our main California laboratories, located in San Diego and San Bruno (near San Francisco).
The core responsibilities include the analysis and preparation of asbestos samples
for Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) and Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM). We are
seeking analysts with TEM and SEM experience to assist us with the roll out of these
new services.
Qualifications:
-
BA/BS, Master's or Ph.D. in science (Geology, Mineralogy or a related field)
and/or exceptional work experience.
-
2 - 5 years experience as an analyst or lab manager in an asbestos laboratory
(PLM, PCM, TEM analysis).
-
30 hours of documented training in asbestos by an accredited trainer.
Analyst positions can be either full time or part time. EMLab offers very attractive benefits and compensation.

Successful candidates will spend between 2 to 4 weeks training in either San Diego or San Francisco before
starting work in a satellite lab.
The core job responsibility is microscopy, working mostly with non-culturable surface and air samples.
Successful analysts may be trained over time in other analyses, including fungal cultures. Analysts who work in
satellite locations are also responsible for receiving and preparing samples and interfacing with clients.
Qualifications:

BA/BS or Master's in Biology, Botany, Microbiology, or related field

Laboratory experience with fungal analysis is a big plus, but is not required
-
Candidates must be able to work in the U.S. legally and must live in the US or Canada.

We are looking for a lab support assistant to work at our full-service laboratory and corporate headquarters in
San Bruno, CA. This position is primarily customer service.
Job Responsibilities

Data entry of project data into database.

Generate client reports from database.

Deliver reports via e-mail, fax, or mail.

Answer incoming calls from clients.

Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
-
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in a biological science) is a requirement.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dead-line oriented environment.

Excellent customer service skills, plus the ability to interface with clients and other team members.

Strong computer and data entry skills are a must.
