Infection Control Training Course

The Fundamentals of Infection Control in Health Care Facilities.
This infection control course introduces you to the significant problem of infection control, emerging infectious diseases, MRSA and exposure risks. Marlene Linders
Infection Control expert and industry leader


Ms. Marlene Linders serves as the President and CEO of Philders Group International Inc. and is a Registered Nurse and an architect. Ms. Linders holds a Master's degree in Science and is one of only three women Distinguished Lecturers for the global organization of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers). Additionally, she is a national speaker on emerging infectious diseases and a published author. She is also the Executive Director for The Linders Health Institute™, a training and educational institute for best practices during construction for reducing exposure to infectious diseases.

Dr. Harriet Burge
EMLab P&K's Director of Aerobiology


Dr. Harriet Burge is widely considered to be the leading expert in Indoor Air Quality, and pioneered mold investigations in indoor environments. She has served as a member of three National Academy of Sciences committees for indoor air quality, including as vice-chair of the Committee on the Health Effects of Indoor Allergens, and is currently chairing the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Damp Buildings and Health. Dr. Burge serves on the Board of Directors of the New England Chapter of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology and the American College of Allergy and Immunology and was a member of the ASHRAE Standard 62 (Ventilation for Indoor Air Quality) Committee. She has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers on bioaerosols, fungi and respiratory health, and is the author of several books relating to allergies and air quality.

Dr. Joseph Manfrida
Mycologist and EMLab P&K's lead USP <797> analyst


Dr. Joseph Manfrida has been instrumental in establishing EMLab P&K's USP <797> services. Dr. Manfrida was trained at the Baxa STAR Center by experts from the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Sterile Compounding Committee to provide the best USP <797> service possible. He holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Arizona State University.
