About AIHA-LAP, LLC

American Industrial Hygiene Association’s Laboratory Accreditation Programs (AIHA-LAP, LLC) provides unbiased third-party review of a laboratory's quality performance through a strict and rigorous series of policies, proficiency test samples and assessments. AIHA-LAP, LLC accreditation represents a laboratory’s proven ability to meet or exceed international standards provided by AIHA-LAP, LLC. The accreditation programs meet international program requirements (ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation) as part of AIHA-LAP, LLC's Environmental Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program.

The AIHA-LAP, LLC accreditation program is a rigorous, thorough and lengthy process involving all operations and personnel of the accredited site. The scope and program requirements for accreditation include: Personnel Qualifications, Methods of Analysis, Quality Assurance, Laboratory Records, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Facilities, Site Visits, and Participation in the Proficiency Analytical Testing program. Eurofins EMLab P&K exceeds AIHA-LAP, LLC requirements in several key categories, particularly Personnel Qualifications and Training.

Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP)
AIHA-LAP, LLC's EMLAP program is designed for laboratories specializing in analysis of microorganisms commonly detected in air, fluids and bulk samples, as part of IAQ investigations.

Industrial Hygiene Laboratory Accreditation Program (IHLAP)
AIHA-LAP, LLC's IHLAP program is designed for laboratories involved in analyzing samples to evaluate workplace risks such as asbestos.

Environmental Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELLAP)
AIHA-LAP, LLC's ELLAP program is recognized by the EPA National Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program (NLLAP) and accredits laboratories performing analysis of lead in environmental samples including paint, soil, dust wipes, composited wipes and air.

Since important health and financial decisions will be based on results of these analyses, it is vital that the laboratory analyzing the samples be proficient in producing high quality data. When a laboratory is accredited by AIHA-LAP, LLC, it becomes part of an elite group of laboratories achieving and maintaining a high level of professional performance.

About AARST-NRPP

The National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) by the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST) is recognized as the nation’s leading certification program for radon professionals. NRPP provides radon professionals the opportunity to become certified in measurement, mitigation and as radon laboratories. NRPP certification is an ongoing effort that requires documented evidence of expertise and performance, representing a high level of skill, knowledge and professionalism.

About CDC ELITE

CDC's Environmental Legionella Isolation Techniques Evaluation (ELITE) Program is the first proficiency testing program in the United States for environmental laboratories to test their Legionella isolation techniques against standardized samples. The goal of the ELITE program is to ensure that industry practices achieve the highest standards and reliability. The ELITE program grades laboratories for correctly identifying, quantifying, and serotyping Legionella samples.

About NVLAP

National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) provides unbiased third-party recognition of quality performance by a laboratory through strict series of assessments. NVLAP accreditation represents a laboratory's proven ability to meet or exceed technical requirements set by NVLAP management. Management and technical requirements published in the International Standard, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 are the foundation of the NVLAP accreditation program. Areas of assessment include: quality systems, personnel, equipment, measurement traceability, sampling, accommodation and environment, test and calibration methods, handling and reports.
