Hydrocarbon Degrading Bacteria
Description: Some bacteria have the ability to catalyze the degradation of hydrocarbons found in the environment. Selective media (Bushnell-Haas Agar) specific for detecting hydrocarbon degrading bacteria is used for sample preparation. Prepped samples are then incubated for a designated amount of time at a specified temperature range. Results are reported as cfu/unit.
Sample types: Soil sample, Swab sample, Water sample
Available turnaround: Standard
