Strategies for the Investigation of Buildings Affected by COVID-19

You will learn about building investigations in the context of COVID-19. After many businesses have been shut down and buildings were closed or maintained with reduced capacity, assessments need to be conducted to evaluate the potential increased risk of mold and Legionella exposure. In addition, the Eurofins’ “Safer at Work” program will be discussed which includes strategies for environmental surface testing and clinical testing of occupants for the COVID-19 virus.

About the Presenters:
David Gallup joined Eurofins EMLab P&K in 1997 after 10 years of engineering and management in the automotive industry. Dave holds eight patents and received his B.S. in Engineering and Applied Science from the California Institute of Technology and a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
Dr. Harriet Burge is widely considered the leading expert in bioaerosols. Dr. Burge helped pioneer the field more than 30 years ago. She developed and ran the aerobiology program at the Harvard School of Public Health for 10 years, and has served on many National Academy of Sciences committees on bioaerosols. Dr. Burge also served on the Board of Directors of the New England Chapter of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
