EMLab P&K Opens Atlanta Asbestos Lab with NVLAP Accreditation for Asbestos Analysis
San Bruno, CA, March 11, 2015 – EMLab P&K, a TestAmerica company and the leading commercial indoor air quality (IAQ) laboratory in North America, announces the opening of its asbestos lab in Atlanta, Georgia and accreditation by the National Volunteer Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for PLM bulk asbestos analysis (NVLAP Lab Code 201060-0). EMLab P&K now has eleven (11) NVLAP-accredited laboratories for asbestos analysis.

EMLab P&K's clients can now send asbestos PLM samples (EPA 600/R-93/116 and EPA 600/M-4-82-020) to the Atlanta lab for analysis. NVLAP provides unbiased third-party recognition of quality performance by a laboratory through strict series of assessments. NVLAP accreditation represents a laboratory's proven ability to meet or exceed technical requirements set by NVLAP management. Management and technical requirements published in the International Standard, ISO/IEC 17025:2005 are the foundation of the NVLAP accreditation program.
