By breaking off both ends of a smoke generation tube and connecting the tube to the rubber bulb, atmospheric moisture reacts with the reagent in the tube and will generate white smoke with just a squeeze of the bulb provided. A single tube can be used repeatedly for 50 to 100 tests by sealing the tube ends with rubber caps provided in the kit.
